On September 10, a unique operation master class was held at the Republic Specialized Medical Center of Pediatrics with the participation of the Head of the Department of Surgical Transplantation ANN & ROBERT H. LURIE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL OF CHICAGO Prof. Riccardo Superina. A 10-year-old child diagnosed with extrahepatic portal hypertension underwent mesoportal anastomosis.
In addition, patients with biliary atresia after liver transplantation, liver cirrhosis and portal hypertension, and vascular malformations of the liver were consulted.
These master classes were held within the framework of the First Uzbekistan-US Medical Forum, at which the Republik Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Pediatrics signed a memorandum with ANN & ROBERT H. LURIE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL OF CHICAGO.
