There are 20 beds in the department that provides specialized medical care for children with the following pathologies:

• Congenital and acquired heart defects, including the preparation patients for cardiac surgical treatment, dynamic monitoring of children after heart and vascular surgery, as well as post-operative rehabilitation of children;
• Carditis of various etiologies,
• Cardiomyopathy;
• infantile hypertension;
• Systemic connective tissue disorders: acute and chronic rheumatism, arthritis of various etiologies, dermatomyositis, systemic vasculitis, systemic lupus erythematosus, scleroderma, nodular periarthritis.

Registration and follow-up with the control of the basic treatment of this category of patients.

Department provides following methods: electrocardiography, echocardiography, daily Holter monitoring, x-ray, and multislice computed tomography of joints, in combination with laboratory diagnostics (rheumatologic and oncological diseases markers, determining creatinine phosphokinase, lactate dehydrogenase, LE cells, determination of blood electrolytes, blood protein fraction).
