Head of the department – Aripov Abdumalik Nigmatovich, Doctor of medicine, professor.
In 1969, Aripov Abdumalik Nigmatovich begun as researcher of biochemical laboratory TashMI. From 1976 to 1998, Head of the clinical diagnostic laboratory of the Scientific Research Institute of Pediatrics of Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, since 1998 to present – Head of the Department of Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics of TIPME.
From 2003 to 2014 – Vice-Rector TIPME. Since 2014 head of the department of clinical laboratory diagnostics of RSSPMCP of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
N. Aripov is a major specialist in clinical laboratory diagnostics of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He is the author of 4 monographs and over 250 scientific articles, 20 methodical recommendations, 5 certificates of authorship. He prepared 12 candidates of medical science and 6 doctors of medicine. Professor A.N. Aripov awarded the badge “Honour of the healthcare”, a member of the editorial board of the journal “Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics” (Russia), Academician of the Russian Academy of Medical and Technical Sciences.
The clinical diagnostic laboratory RSSPMC of Pediatrics is one of the largest laboratories in the Republic. Laboratory, offering patients more than 100 types of laboratory tests, provides fast, reliable and accurate results in all areas of clinical laboratory examination, that helps the patient to establish the correct diagnosis, choose the treatment method, determine the prognosis of the disease and monitor the effectiveness of therapy. Every year, employees the laboratory perform in a planned and urgently manner more than 500 000 studies. Currently, the in the department works 48 employees (including two doctors of medicine and 5 PhDs). Laboratory staff have great experience of working in the medical and scientific institutions, many of them have qualifications categories.

DNA diagnosis of bacterial and viral infections, performed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR), which allows for direct detection of the causative agent
Automated system of determining the composition of blood (solid phase enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay).
